Vestige
The work presents itself as the remnant of a machine whose function escapes us. Nothing reveals what it produced, what passed through it or to which period it might have belonged. Yet its presence feels familiar: it carries the silent authority of an object that appears to have served for a very long time.

Only its skeleton remains. The openings suggest conduits or joints emptied of their flow; the deformed masses seem to retain the fatigue of a vanished activity. This wear is not documentary. It constructs an imaginary temporality and gives the sculpture the sensory memory of an earlier life.

Emotion emerges from this paradox: the energy has withdrawn, yet its trace remains. The sculpture does not represent movement; it exposes what follows it. It becomes the archaeology of a machine that never existed — an inhabited remnant suspended between industrial memory, anatomy and fiction.
