Threshold
In Threshold, the central question is the point of contact. The volumes do not appear comfortably settled upon one another. They meet across narrow areas and seem caught in a movement that might continue beyond the sculpture’s apparent stillness.

The form appears to rise while being pulled downwards. It contains ascent and collapse at the same time. What interests me is precisely this contradiction: constructing a powerful presence from a balance that appears fragile.

Risk is necessary. Without it, mass would remain merely massive. Risk introduces time into the form: the viewer imagines what might happen, even though nothing actually moves.
